Toddler speech practice in 4 steps

  1. Sit beside your toddler and pick a category or a letter.
  2. Tap Listen, then let your toddler say the word.
  3. Say it back to them, and point to the real thing if it’s nearby (“Where’s your cup?”).
  4. Stop after one round. Five minutes is plenty.

Tips for a happy round

  1. If your toddler doesn’t say the word, say it yourself, smile and move on. Listening counts too.
  2. Celebrate the try, not the perfect sound.
  3. Stop while it’s still fun, even mid-round.

Bottom note:

Mumblet supports speech practice at home. It isn’t therapy. If you’re worried about your toddler’s speech, talk to a speech-language pathologist. You can find one through ASHA ProFind.
